A Special Place In My Heart
by: Angel Lin
I got her a box of chocolate
However, I needed a map
To get to her house.
I also bought her a jacket
I thought that was sweet
Would it make her turn red?
She gave me a rose that was red
She offered me hot chocolate
I thought that was sweet.
It was time to leave so I looked at the map
Then I looked for the jacket
Wait, it’s at my house!
When I got to my house
I was Red
I did however find the Jacket
And grabbed more chocolate
I looked at my map
It said “Sweet,” as in, the street was named “Sweet”
Her smile is sugary sweet
She lived in a big, big house
It looked even bigger than it did on Google maps
The window curtains were, grand, silky and red
Was there something inside? A chocolate?
No, but there was a jacket
A jacket? Was it someone else’s Jacket?
My jacket is black, stiff, and sweet
The black made it look like dark chocolate
I finally had the courage to go back in her house
The jacket was glowing red
I checked the map
She was on the map
I took the jacket
I got mad, and my face turned red
This situation was bitter-sweet
She asked me why I was mad, I told her I saw something in her house
I told her the jacket was red and not chocolate
She told me it was hers; I got embarrassed and showed her my map, I told her I loved her, her face turned red. She gave me her last pieces of chocolate, We put on our jacket then she hugged me. That was sweet. We left her house and got ice cream.
