We will continue exploring suspense in a variety of short stories. Students have been introduced to Shakespeare's comedy, As You Like It. Students will be looking at character types this coming week in a new game-like site called Class Quest.
Writing - We have finished our unit on Journalism. On Tuesday as the culmination of this unit, we will meet with Sun Times editor and journalist, Paul Saltzman. We will continue our unit on application writing. We are also gearing up for History Fair, beginning our research. We will be working on the paper in November and December.
Civics - Students will be looking at and weighing in on the limits to First Amendment Rights with some specific court decisions. We will continue to work on narrowing down history fair topics and begin putting together thesis statements toward a historical argument.
